Behaviour & Code of Conduct (For Parents/Guardians)

Flag Frenzy Football Camp

1) Purpose

This Behaviour & Code of Conduct Policy sets out expectations for all participants, parents/guardians, and staff at Flag Frenzy Football Camp. Our aim is to create a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment where every child can learn and thrive.


2) Expectations for Children

  • Treat coaches, staff, volunteers, and fellow campers with respect and kindness.
  • Listen to instructions from coaches and follow rules during activities.
  • Play fairly and include others — no bullying, teasing, or exclusion.
  • Take care of equipment, facilities, and the environment.
  • Use safe, respectful language — no swearing, name-calling, or offensive remarks.
  • Respect differences in ability, background, culture, and identity.
  • Remain in designated camp areas and with their group at all times.

3) Expectations for Parents & Guardians

  • Support and reinforce this policy with their child before camp.
  • Treat staff, volunteers, and other families with courtesy and respect.
  • Raise any concerns calmly and constructively via the complaints procedure.
  • Ensure children arrive and are collected on time.
  • Avoid disruptive behaviour (e.g., sideline coaching, arguing with staff).

4) Expectations for Staff & Coaches

  • Model positive behaviour, fairness, and respect at all times.
  • Provide clear instructions and consistent boundaries.
  • Intervene promptly to stop unsafe or inappropriate behaviour.
  • Listen to children and take concerns seriously.
  • Treat all children fairly, with equal encouragement and support.
  • Follow the Safeguarding Policy and Health & Safety procedures.

5) Prohibited Behaviour

  • Bullying (verbal, physical, or online).
  • Disrespect towards staff or peers.
  • Unsafe play, rough behaviour, or refusal to follow instructions.
  • Swearing, discriminatory, or offensive language.
  • Violence or aggression (including hitting, kicking, or spitting).
  • Damage to property or deliberate misuse of equipment.

6) Consequences

  1. Verbal reminder of expectations.
  2. Time-out or removal from the activity.
  3. Parent/guardian informed at collection (or contacted if urgent).
  4. In serious or repeated cases, the child may be sent home or removed from camp with no refund (as per Refund & Cancellation Policy).
  5. For any safeguarding/violence incidents, the Camp Director will review and may impose additional conditions for returning.

7) Reporting Concerns

  • Children are encouraged to speak to any coach or staff member if they feel unsafe, excluded, or uncomfortable.
  • Parents can raise concerns directly with the Camp Director in writing at admin@flagfrenzyfootball.co.uk.
  • Safeguarding concerns will always be treated seriously and handled in line with our Safeguarding Policy.

8) Agreement

By registering for Flag Frenzy Football Camp, parents/guardians and children agree to follow this Behaviour & Code of Conduct Policy.
